Job Description

Our client, a manufacturing leader specializing in precision machining, is seeking a Machine Shop Estimator to join their team. As a Machine Shop Estimator, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting the Production and Estimating teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication, which will align successfully in the organization.

Monday-Friday 8 am-4:30 pm What's the Job? Support precision machining operations by preparing accurate cost and lead-time estimates for complex parts Collaborate with customers, internal manufacturing teams, and vendors to develop detailed quotes Utilize the company ERP system to input complete job information, including labor, materials, tooling, and outside processing Review engineering drawings and GD&T to ensure accurate estimation and understanding of job requirements Assist in managing multiple projects, ensuring timely and precise delivery of estimates and quotes What's Needed? Background in CNC machining of weldments and 100% machined parts, with experience as a machinist and/or programmer Experience in a job shop environment producing low-volume, high-complexity parts Prior exposure to estimating or quoting in a manufacturing setting Strong print reading skills with a solid understanding of GD&T principles Excellent math, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills, along with good communication abilities What's in it for me?
