Commercial Mechanical Estimator
Full Time, Permanent Clackamas, OR Our client is amercial mechanical contractor delivering projects across healthcare, data centres, hospitality, and other sectors. They are looking for a Mechanical Estimator who can take ownership of larger projects and help build lasting relationships with general contractors and design teams. You'll help shape budgets and solutions from early design through final pricing, supported by a close-knit team that values openmunication, fresh ideas, and following through onmitments.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Build estimates formercial wet and dry mechanical work, including ductwork, piping, equipment, labour, subcontractors, and project-specific requirements Develop conceptual budgets and refine pricing as designs progress, clearly documenting scope, assumptions, and risks Identify gaps in drawings and work with project managers and field leaders to understand how the work will be built Collaborate with general contractors and design teams on negotiated projects, design assist, and value engineering Manage quotes, addenda, drawing changes, and proposals while keeping the team informed through bid reviews
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
Commercial mechanical construction knowledge and experience estimating both wet and dry scopes The ability to build aplete estimate from iplete information, rather than relying solely on takeoffs from finished drawings Sound judgment about installation methods, labour, scheduling, and coordination with other trades Experience with conceptual budgets, negotiated work, or design assist that helps you contribute early in a project A collaborative approach: you seek field input, explain your decisions clearly, and take ownership of your work
