Position Responsibilities may include:
Works with the assigned Account Executive Partner(s) to broaden sales of air distribution offerings, including but not limited to grilles, grates, diffusers, dampers, fans, louvers and other air control and distribution products Accurately estimates plan/spec and design/build HVAC systems using computer estimating systems and other related software Develops and maintains product and industry knowledge for all airside products Attends factory training classes and helps to educate others on various products as determined by sales management Maintains estimating logs and unit costs for all projects Performs site surveys and attend pre-bid walkthroughs if required Interacts with the sales and contractor relations and project management teams to ensure all projects are performed within budget and according to plans and specifications Performs equipment specification Participates in additional projects to support ongoing business needsNature & Scope:
Applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience Manages projects and processes while working independently and with limited supervision Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level professionals Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex; takes a new perspective on existing solutionsKnowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of different types of HVAC systems and their components Industrial, commercial and multi-family experience required Background in value engineering Thorough understanding of related trades for the purposes of coordinating various project estimates Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and other construction documents Experience with estimating software and systems preferred Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to work under limited or sporadic direction and meet deadlines and ability Must be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and project management skills Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to apply good judgement and strong work ethics and integrity on the jobCompetency:
Experience:
5 + years of estimating experience in the HVAC industry with a proven track record is requiredEducation/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent HVAC vocational training/certificatePeople Management:
