Help Build Projects Before Construction Begins At Speedwell Construction, our projects begin long before construction starts. As an Estimator, you'll play a critical role in our preconstruction process by developing accurate, competitive estimates that help turn opportunities into successful projects. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and enjoy collaborating with subcontractors and project teams, we'd like to hear from you. What You'll Do
Analyze construction drawings and specifications to prepare accurate estimates.
Solicit and review subcontractor pricing across all trades.
Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
Attend pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits.
Coordinate with bidders to ensure complete project coverage.
Develop project budgets from preliminary through final construction documents.
Collaborate with estimators and project managers to evaluate scope, pricing, and constructability.
Support project buyout by providing estimating information to the construction team.
Maintain historical cost data and estimating benchmarks.
Manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines.
Lead project handoff meetings following successful bids.
Continue developing knowledge of commercial construction methods, building systems, and trade scopes.

Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology.
General computer proficiency.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and motor vehicle record review. Preferred Two or more years of commercial construction estimating experience.
Experience with Viewpoint, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office 365, or estimating software such as SmartBid.
