We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager/Estimator to lead and coordinate structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from inception to completion. This role combines the strategic planning and precise estimation of project costs with effective management of both fabrication and erection activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with all regulations and customer requirements. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong leadership skills, and preferably have experience in metal fabrication and estimating. Duties Develop comprehensive project estimates using construction estimating software, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs to create accurate budgets. Establish scopes, timelines, resources, and milestones aligned with client specifications and regulatory standards. Manage project schedules both internally and externally. Oversee the preparation and review of shop and erection drawings (detailing). Coordinate with customers, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth communication and project execution. Monitor project progress, managing shop fabrication and on-site erection to ensure safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory compliance are maintained. Control project costs by managing budgets through Construction budget management tools while tracking expenses against estimates. Requirements Preferable experience with metal manufacturing and estimating. Computer skills, including but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and Bluebeam. Strong ability and desire to learn new software. Solid understanding of construction plans, blueprints reading, and technical specifications. Excellent project management skills including cost management, schedule coordination, risk assessment, and time management. Strong communication skills for effective project coordination across multiple stakeholders. Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and strong organization skills is a must.
