In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating costs related to building envelope systems, including facades, roofing, waterproofing, and insulation. Responsibilities Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to interpret material requirements and scope of work for building envelope systems. Prepare detailed cost estimates using estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools. Analyze material costs, labor rates, subcontractor quotes, and project schedules to develop accurate budgets. Collaborate with clients and subcontractors during negotiations to ensure competitive pricing while safeguarding project profitability. Manage multiple estimation projects simultaneously, ensuring timely submission of bids and proposals. Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, verify measurements, and gather data for precise cost estimation. Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to maintain cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Requirements Proven experience managing construction estimates for commercial projects with a focus on building envelope systems. Strong proficiency in Bluebeam, HeavyBid, Xactimate, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), and other estimating or construction management software. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and construction documents accurately. Excellent negotiation skills with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to secure favorable pricing and terms. Knowledge of material cost estimating, cost management strategies, and budgeting for large-scale construction projects. Construction industry experience with a solid understanding of construction site operations and safety practices. Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration across project phases. Familiarity with contracts, project management principles, and managing projects as a construction estimator is highly desirable.
