We are excited to announce our expansion in Tennessee and are looking for qualified personnel to join our team. As we continue to expand our operations and client base, we are seeking an experienced Estimator based in Tennessee to support our growing portfolio. Position Summary The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role involves reviewing drawings and specifications, soliciting and evaluating subcontractor and supplier pricing, performing quantity takeoffs, identifying project risks, and supporting the preparation of complete bid submissions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in commercial construction estimating, with strong communication and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analyses. Solicit, coordinate, and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and detailed estimates. Develop complete bid packages and tender submissions. Analyze project risks, opportunities, and scope gaps. Coordinate with project managers, operations staff, and company leadership during bid preparation. Assist in contract negotiations and project handoff to operations teams following award. Support business development efforts by identifying and pursuing bidding opportunities. Qualifications Required 3-7+ years of commercial construction estimating experience. Strong understanding of commercial construction methods, materials, and sequencing. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Experience preparing estimates for projects ranging from tenant improvements to large-scale commercial developments. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a remote environment. Preferred Degree or diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying, or a related field. Experience with estimating software such as Bluebeam, or similar platforms. Knowledge of Canadian and U.S. construction markets. Experience working with commercial general contractors. Design-build estimating experience.
