Commercial Construction Estimator

Description:

We are looking to hire an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team of highly motivated professionals. Per job or subcontractor. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing estimates under tight time frames and handling multiple bids/proposals simultaneously. They will work closely with contractors and team members to estimate costs and potential risks and conclude whether we can complete a project within the time frame and the budget that the client wants. The job will include performing mathematical calculations and getting quotes from vendors to estimate the costs needed for labor and materials. We are committed to hiring a Construction Estimator that is highly skilled with unwavering reliability and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities:

Explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements Visit job sites to gather essential information Build and maintain long-term relationships with the key vendors Select, measure and track important metrics Prepare timely and reliable estimates

Qualifications:

Previous working experience as a construction estimator for 7+ years Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Exceptional time management skills Strong written communication and interpersonal skills Works well on a team Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other qualification will be a plus Use of On Center On Screen Takeoff is a plus
