Job Description

Job Overview The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for fencing and security perimeter projects as well as concrete work on a federal level. This role requires strong analytical skills, construction knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications for high‑security environments. Responsibilities Review bid invitations, drawings, and specifications for commercial and government projects Perform detailed quantity take‑offs and material/labor cost analysis Prepare proposals and bid packages for submission through platforms such as PipelineSuite, wvOASIS, and federal procurement portals Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure scope accuracy Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes for compliance and competitiveness Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and awarded projects Participate in pre‑bid meetings and site visits as needed Support value‑engineering and cost‑saving initiatives Skills Minimum 3 years of estimating experience in construction or fencing (commercial/industrial preferred) Proficiency with estimating software, Excel, and plan‑takeoff tools (Bluebeam, Earth Pro, etc.) Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and bid processes Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines Familiarity with government and military contracting standards is a plus Preferred Experience Chain‑link, ornamental, crash‑rated, and anti‑ram fence systems Correctional and energy‑sector perimeter security projects Reading civil/site plans and performing layout take‑offs Working knowledge of ASTM and federal fencing specifications This role is paid — we value every contribution you bring to our team!
