Job Description
About us We are a national contractor focusing on national accounts for retail and restaurant construction, tenant finish, and fixture/finish carpentry installations.
Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail and restaurant construction project estimating, project management, and cost control.
Duties:
- Oversee the estimation process for construction projects from initiation to completion.
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
- Develop detailed cost estimates and proposals for projects.
- Ensure all estimates align with project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with the construction management team to review and finalize estimates.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Travel required for project site visits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in construction estimating, project management, and contract negotiation.
- Proficiency in using estimating software such as Bluebeam.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to price projects accurately.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of cost control methods and practices in the construction industry.
