The Estimator Assistant supports the estimating team by reviewing project documents, preparing quantity takeoffs, and helping develop an accurate scope of work. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret construction plans and specifications, and solid organizational skills. Responsibilities Review plans, drawings, and specifications to identify and document the project scope of work. Perform quantity takeoffs and measurements based on contract documents. Help identify scope gaps, overlaps, and discrepancies in plans and specifications. Update spreadsheets, databases, and estimating software with current quantities, pricing, and project information. Track bid deadlines and assist with the timely completion of estimate packages. Support bid submission preparation by compiling required documents and attachments. Qualifications Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications. Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and terminology. Strong math, measurement, and analytical skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in computer office software; estimating software experience is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in construction estimating, project coordination, or administrative support.
