We partner with general contractors, facility managers, architects, and building owners to deliver high-quality commercial door and entrance systems across a wide range of industries. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our growing team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for commercial door, frame, hardware, and related Division 8 projects. Position Summary The Estimator will analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop accurate material, labor, and subcontractor cost estimates. This position plays a critical role in helping Formula Door secure new business while ensuring projects are properly scoped and profitable. Key Responsibilities Review construction drawings, specifications, bid packages, and project requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial doors, frames, hardware, automatic doors, and access control systems. Perform quantity takeoffs and material analysis. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. Prepare proposals, quotations, and bid submissions. Collaborate with project managers, sales teams, suppliers, and customers to clarify project requirements. Analyze project risks, scope gaps, and value-engineering opportunities. Maintain accurate records of estimates, pricing databases, and historical cost information. Participate in bid review meetings and project handoffs. Monitor market pricing trends and supplier costs. QualificationsRequired 2+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction, building products, or related industries. Experience reviewing architectural drawings and specifications. Strong mathematical and analytical skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience estimating commercial doors, frames, hardware, access control systems, or Division 8 products. Familiarity with construction estimating software. Knowledge of commercial construction practices and project delivery methods. Division 10 estimating experience is a plus. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
