Full-time Job Description:
National Painting Contractors is seeking a highly professional, organized, reliable and detail-oriented Project Estimator/Project Manager. This job is a set salary plus commission. The Project Estimator/Project Manager MUST live in Sault Sainte Marie, MI or the surrounding area, as this position will be a hybrid position. The Project Estimator/Project Manager would be responsible for preparing estimates within the scope of work while growing new relationships and cultivating existing relationships. This role is perfect for a self-motivated individual who thrives working in a fast-paced environment. Background check and drug test will be conducted prior to start date if considered for the role.
Job Requirements:
Must live in Sault Sainte Marie, MI or surrounding area 3+ years as a Paint Estimator / costing experience in the residential/construction industry Must be proficient in digital on-screen takeoff Planswift or equivalent software proficiency Must have the ability to utilize technology to enhance client services
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Occasional field site take offs, walking job sites and industrial/production facilities Minimal travel may be required
Job Responsibilities:
Bid commercial/industrial painting projects exceeding $500k Manage daily activities, weekly bid priorities, and output of the estimating team Utilize NPC proposal worksheets to properly estimate all work Understand production rates, consumption rates, and equipment needs by project type Accurately document job scope, working conditions, etc. Schedule nationwide site surveys to be completed Negotiate subcontracts as needed Manage bid logs, tracking bid service websites, tracking bid requests, etc.
