In this role, you will assist the company in making profitable business decisions by gathering information and preparing accurate estimates. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and has a proven track record as an HVAC/Mechanical Estimator. Compensation based on experience, range $40-65,000.00ResponsibilitiesFully understand the project scope and requirements by studying documentation, meeting with clients, and visiting relevant jobsite locationsCollect necessary documentation such as plans, drawings, and project specificationsDetermine the key variables for cost and conduct research to determine expected labor and materials costsGather bids and negotiate with service providers to secure the best possible pricesCreate and submit estimates to managerBudget and forecast using appropriate softwareGenerate take offs for sheetmetal, piping, insulation and controlsGenerate RFIs and proposalsQualificationsBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related fieldPrevious experience as an Estimator is preferred for min 2 yearsAbility to forecast building costs and knowledge of estimation formulasStrong mathematical and analytical skillsSkilled in relevant software (Quotesoft, planswift, building connected, procore, bluebeam)Excellent research, writing, and negotiation skillsAbility to work and thrive in fast paste environmentFlexible work from home options available.
