Title:
Senior Estimator -
Substation & High Voltage Salary:
$140,000 - $180,000 Summary An industry-leading EPC contractor is seeking a Senior Estimator to support utility-scale substation, transmission, renewable energy, and mission-critical infrastructure projects across the United States. This is a fully remote opportunity with one of the most established contractors in the power delivery and energy infrastructure market. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing competitive EPC estimates for high-voltage substations, transmission projects, utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, and data center developments. If you're an experienced estimator looking to work on large-scale energy infrastructure projects with long-term career growth opportunities, we'd like to hear from you. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for: Developing detailed EPC estimates for substation and transmission projects Performing quantity take-offs and cost analysis for electrical infrastructure projects Preparing and evaluating vendor and subcontractor RFQs Reviewing and negotiating supplier pricing Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and subcontractors Supporting proposal development and preconstruction activities Reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and engineering documents Working closely with engineering, project management, procurement, and construction teams Assisting with estimate reviews, risk evaluations, and value engineering exercises Mentoring and developing junior estimating team members The Senior Estimator should have the following qualifications: 7+ years of estimating experience within the power delivery industry Experience estimating substation, transmission, and distribution projects EPC estimating experience preferred Experience with utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, or data center projects is a plus Proficiency with Accubid, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction methods Ability to interpret plans, specifications, and contract documents Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred
