Job Description

Job description Senior Account Manager in our Personal Department service our clients by processing and paperwork and helping with changes, billing, claims, and renewals on their insurance. In this position, you will be expected to utilize personal insurance knowledge to the highest level possible. A positive attitude is very important, as this is first and foremost a customer service position. We are a team, and therefore it is expected that you be willing to assist other Account Managers when needed. You must maintain a Brokers or Property & Casualty License in the state of New York. The agency covers the cost for biannual license renewals and Continuing Education courses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Service, quote, and sell Personal Lines policies. Reply to inquiries from existing clients within 24 hours. Transact and process new and renewal business, change requests, and cancellations in Applied Epic, our customer database. Process and follow up on claims. Review accounts to identify cross-sell opportunities & present to insured. Quoting Experience Assume other job responsibilities as assigned. Follow Agency procedures as outlined in manual.
Required Skills:
Must have an active Brokers or Property & Casualty license in the state of New York. High School diploma or equivalent. Knowledge of Applied Epic is
REQUIRED.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Comfort speaking on the phone is a must, as you will frequently be expected to speak with customers and insurance company representatives. Self-starter with good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to problem solve with minimal assistance. Ability to multi-task and prioritize with a heavy workload. Time management and organizational skills are essential. Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions with multiple concrete variables; ability to respond to requests effectively and efficiently. Willingness to assist other employees when the need arises Ability to stay focused in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with frequent interruptions. This is a full-time, salaried position.
