Hybrid Field & Office Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Telecom Estimator with strong data center expertise to produce accurate, competitive bids for complex structured cabling, fiber backbone, and low-voltage projects. This role is critical to winning profitable work and setting up projects for successful execution. The ideal candidate thinks in systems, breaks work down by area/floor/cost code, and understands construction sequencing deeply. Key Responsibilities Prepare complete estimates for data center, enterprise, and structured cabling projects ranging from $500K to multi-million dollar scale. Perform detailed takeoffs from plans and specs (Bluebeam Revu preferred) for horizontal cabling, OSP/ISP fiber (including high-strand-count backbone), pathways, zone boxes/EMODs, Polimods, racks, grounding, and testing. Break estimates down by floor/area/phase and align with cost codes to support downstream material planning, labor tracking, SOV billing, and WIP reporting. Identify long-lead items, risks, and scope gaps; provide clear assumptions and clarifications. Collaborate with PMs, Operations, and field leadership during pre-construction to ensure estimates are buildable and executable. Maintain and improve estimating assemblies, databases, and historical cost data. Support value engineering and alternate proposals when needed. Stay current on TIA-942, BICSI, and data center best practices. Required Qualifications 5+ years of telecom/low-voltage estimating experience with a strong focus on data centers . Deep knowledge of fiber optic infrastructure (mass fusion splicing, OTDR testing, high-density Polimod/pigtail cassettes, diverse pathways). Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Excel. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, labor productivity, and material lead times. Ability to produce structured, phased estimates that support clean material POs and labor plans. Preferred Qualifications BICSI RCDD or similar certification. Prior field or project management experience in data centers. Experience working in competitive GC bid environments. What Success Looks Like Accurate estimates that win profitable work and hand off cleanly to PMs with minimal surprises. Consistent use of area/phase/cost code structure. Reduction in post-bid scope misses and reactive material ordering.Compensation Base Salary Range:
$130k- 150k based on skill set and experience.
Bonus:
Up to 10% of base salary annually.Job Type:
