Estimating Manager ROLE:
You will generate quotes for fabricated precision sheet metal parts, weldments, machined components, and value-add assemblies. Size, complexity, and volume vary considerably. Urgency doesn't change much though; everything is usually hot to super-hot.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate quotes ranging from high detail when a lot is on the line, to low detail when speed is the customer's top priority
- Work with the team: Ask questions of Engineering, Purchasing, Scheduling & Planning, and Production when you are unsure or are wanting a second opinion
- Obtain quotes from vendors and sub-tiers when appropriate
- Follow Inland's quoting processes and procedures
- As with all who work at Inland, help your fellow departments when they get in trouble
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- 3 years' experience in equivalent or similar role
- Deep understanding of the job shop sheet metal manufacturing world
- Capable with a computer: excel/ERP/quoting modules
- Strong communication skills.
