• Full-time A well‑established electrical contractor in Connecticut is seeking a Senior Electrical Estimator to lead estimating efforts for complex commercial, healthcare, university, and mission‑critical projects.

This role is ideal for a true electrical subcontractor estimator who is focused on accurate takeoffs, disciplined bid execution, and owning the numbers from start to finish. The company has roughly 70 employees and maintains a strong backlog across healthcare, mission‑critical, and institutional work. They are open to candidates ranging from junior estimator to chief estimator , with a preference for someone senior who can mentor a developing estimator on the team. Hybrid flexibility is available. Responsibilities Lead estimating efforts for commercial electrical projects, including healthcare and mission‑critical facilities Prepare detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals for mid‑size to large‑scale projects Analyze drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare comprehensive estimates Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Collaborate with Project Managers, Operations, and Leadership on bid strategy and project approach Identify value‑engineering opportunities and cost‑saving strategies Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost data Support handoff meetings to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to operations Qualifications 7+ years of electrical estimating experience with a commercial electrical contractor Strong experience with large‑scale, healthcare, or mission‑critical projects (healthcare highly preferred) Proficiency with estimating software such as ConEst or similar platforms Deep understanding of electrical systems, materials, labor, and construction methods Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Electrical License is a plus
