Structural Steel Estimator

Job description • (Possible 4 days in the office and 1 day from remote to help on travel) Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Structural Steel Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for structural steel projects. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents to develop comprehensive estimates for structural steel components. Conduct quantity take-offs and analyze material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs to ensure accurate pricing. Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and construction teams to align estimates with project scope and schedule. Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting estimates as needed to stay within budget. Prepare detailed bid packages, including scope of work, pricing breakdowns, and contractual documentation. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a focus on structural steel projects. Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices, cost control measures, and pricing strategies. Familiarity with Bluebeam, Excel, Autocad, and other estimating or project management software tools. Understanding of contracts, project management principles, and construction safety standards. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contract documents efficiently.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
