Job Overview Flood Medics Restoration is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Water Damage Restoration Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel at creating quick, efficient, and accurate water mitigation and repair insurance estimates while managing communication between customers, insurance adjusters, and internal staff. This role requires a proactive individual with mastery of Xactimate software, strong technical skills in common office and cloud-based platforms, and exceptional interpersonal abilities to scope, estimate, and oversee the successful completion of water mitigation and restoration projects within a high paced, family-owned business atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities Estimation:
Prepare detailed, accurate, and timely water mitigation and restoration estimates using Xactimate software, ensuring compliance with insurance standards and company protocols.
Project Scoping:
Collaborate with customers, insurance adjusters, and team members to assess damage, determine scope of work, and develop comprehensive restoration plans.
Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and adjusters, providing clear updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation:
Maintain thorough records of estimates, project details, and communications using Microsoft Office and cloud-based customer/project management systems.
Coordination:
Work closely with field staff to ensure estimates align with on-site conditions and project execution stays on track.
Quality Control:
Review and refine estimates as needed to reflect changes in scope, materials, or labor requirements, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
Industry Knowledge:
Understand water damage restoration best practices, insurance requirements
Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in water damage restoration estimating or a related field. Prior experience as an insurance claims adjuster a plus.
Technical Skills:
Expert-level proficiency in Xactimate software (certification preferred). Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Experience with cloud-based customer, project management systems and strong general computer skills
Communication Skills:
Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities, with a customer-focused approach and the capacity to negotiate and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Attention to

Proven ability to produce precise estimates and manage multiple projects without sacrificing quality or deadlines.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to think critically and adapt to evolving project needs or unexpected challenges. Readily able to take and provide constructive feedback from and across all levels of the organization
Certifications:
IICRC Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification or similar credentials are a plus.
Education:
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field preferred.
