Senior Estimator - Site Work and Development Full-Time | In Office A respected and established construction organization in the coastal Carolinas is seeking a Senior Estimator - Site Development Construction to join their growing team and hit the ground running. An experienced estimator who can bring technical expertise, leadership, and mentorship to a collaborative estimating department, AND

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sitework estimating and the ability to manage complex estimates from initial review through project handoff.
Position Responsibilities:
Review project plans, specifications, addenda, and bid documents. Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for heavy civil construction projects. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis. Develop pricing for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes. Attend pre-bid meetings and conduct project site visits. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor proposals. Lead bid reviews and support final bid submissions. Analyze subcontractor pricing versus self-performance opportunities. Maintain cost databases, historical pricing, and estimating documentation. Assist project teams with value engineering, change orders, and cost-related questions. Build strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Provide mentorship and support to other estimating team members.
Qualifications:
5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil, site development, earthwork, or related construction. Strong understanding of construction means and methods including: Excavation Grading Cut/fill operations Underground utilities Foundations Dewatering Equipment utilization Ability to read and interpret civil drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
