Job Description
Sales/Estimator — Sitework & Site Preparation D&W Sitework LLC | Grand Strand, SC | Full-Time Most estimators can price a job. We need someone who can find it, win it, and hand it off clean. At D&W Sitework LLC, we do the work that makes everything else possible — site clearing, grading, drainage, utility installation across the Grand Strand. We're a family-owned company with a crew that takes the work seriously, and we're growing. We need a Sales/Estimator who can do both halves of that title well. Someone who goes out and builds relationships with developers and GCs, and then comes back and prices the work with the discipline to protect our margins. That's not a common combination. If you have it, we want to talk. Why This Role Matters Every job we run starts with a bid. The Sales/Estimator is the person who makes that bid happen — who gets us in the room, reads the plans, does the math, and puts a number on work the field crew will have to execute. When you price something right and we win it, the whole company moves forward. That's a real responsibility. We take it seriously, and we need someone who will too. What You'll Do Hunt for work — build and maintain relationships with developers, GCs, and project owners across the Grand Strand Pull accurate take-offs from civil plans for clearing, grading, earthwork, utilities, drainage, and paving Source and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Build estimates that are competitive in the market and protect our profit margins Present proposals directly to clients and close the deal Hand off won projects to the field team and stay engaged to keep the budget intact This is a field-facing role. You will be on job sites, in trailers, and across the region — not just behind a desk. What We're Looking For Five or more years in sitework or civil construction estimating is the baseline. Beyond that, we're looking for someone who fits a specific profile. You can read civil plans and produce a take-off without hand-holding You understand what things actually cost in this market — labor, equipment, materials, subs You're comfortable walking a site with a developer and earning their confidence You use estimating software (AGTEK, Bluebeam, Procore, or similar) and don't fight technology You communicate directly and follow through A degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred — not required. Proven field experience will always count more than a credential. What We Offer Competitive base salary aligned with the Grand Strand market for an experienced sitework estimator Performance bonus tied to gross profit — your real upside grows with the quality of your work, not just the number of bids you submit Company vehicle or vehicle allowance — you'll be driving the region regularly Health insurance and paid time off Support for continuing education and industry certifications Where It Can Go D&W is growing. The person who performs in this role doesn't hit a ceiling — they help define what the company becomes. As our volume and project complexity increases, there is a clear path toward a senior leadership role in business development and operations. If you know how to find work, price it right, and hand it off clean — apply now. D&W Sitework LLC is an equal opportunity employer.
