Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Role and Responsibilities Assist customers in the yard and over the phone Ability to operate saws and cut lumber to size for customers Read and bid building materials such as lumber, siding, windows, doors, and steel off of blueprints provided by customers. Work in outdoor conditions to help load materials into customers vehicles or trailers. MUST be able to lift 80 pounds or more unassisted. Take yearend inventory and stock shelves. Assist unloading trucks if necessary and operate a forklift. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to carry out written and oral instructions. Consult with contractors and customers on building plans and projects. Prepare material takeoffs and estimates in a timely matter to be used in construction projects, with or without blueprints. Place orders with vendors and verify the accuracy of order acknowledgements. Grow sales through relationship management Qualifications and Education Requirements High School Diploma is required. 2 or 4 year degree in construction or experience is required. Clean driving record, drug testing & background check is required. Plan estimating and bidding required. Lumber and building material knowledge is preferred. Additional Notes Monday through Friday hours is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed all major holidays - New Years Day, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and the day after Thanksgiving & Christmas Day.
