This role will focus on preparing accurate cost estimates, performing detailed takeoffs, and supporting competitive bid development.

Responsibilities:

Review project drawings, specifications, and bid documents for MEP-focused construction projects Prepare detailed labor and material takeoffs for HVAC and sheet metal systems Develop accurate cost estimates including equipment, materials, labor, and subcontractor scope Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required Collaborate with internal teams to support bid strategy and project turnover Maintain knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, materials, and industry standards

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience estimating mechanical construction projects with a strong MEP focus Direct experience estimating HVAC and sheet metal systems Experience supporting commercial and/or industrial construction projects Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents Experience performing detailed labor and material takeoffs Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software (such as Trimble AutoBid or similar ) Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe Experience working with vendors and subcontractors to develop pricing Must be able to work onsite in the Knoxville, TN area

Compensation:

Base salary in the 70k
