Residential Construction Estimator

Estimator - KnightVision Construction KnightVision Construction is a high end custom home general contractor company seeking a new team member to assist in our current and future projects as an Estimator. We build anywhere from new, custom homes to major renovations, remodels, and additions. You will need to be able to efficiently prepare detailed, accurate project estimates, manage bid packages, and coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing. Job Description The Estimator will manage multiple high end, custom residential projects throughout Knoxville and the surrounding market. This role is responsible for aiding the preconstruction phase for projects. They must be proficient in all aspects of preconstruction, possess excellent communication skills, and have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience The preferred candidate should have significant experience in Custom Home Building / Custom Project(s), Similarly they should possess: 5+ years minimum experience working as an estimator in the construction field Bachelor's Degree or higher in related field. Single family residential and custom project estimating experience Familiarity with estimating software related but not limited to Microsoft Project/ CoConstruct/Builder Trend/Construct Connect Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings Strong communication and negotiating skills Excellent organizational and analytical skills Detail oriented Able to meet deadlines with ease Must have general working knowledge of trades and all CSI Divisions related but not limited to Ground-Up Custom Construction Responsibilities Utilize construction management software and project scheduling tools to efficiently develop project budgets Prepare detailed conceptual, preliminary, and final project estimates Analyze architectural drawings, specifications, and scopes of work documents Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids Collaborate with team members, architects, designers, and clients Track historical pricing and maintain a cost database for future projects Assist with scheduling Support job handoff from estimator to project manager/superintendents KnightVision Construction is offering a fantastic package that includes competitive Base Salary, Bonus Structure, PTO, Paid Holidays and provided Health care.
