Construction Estimator

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team and drive the success of our construction projects. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, and collaborating closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors. Duties Develop comprehensive construction cost estimates by reviewing project plans, specifications, and bid documents using industry-standard tools such as Bluebeam. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis to accurately forecast project costs across labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Collaborate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to negotiate pricing and terms that align with project budgets and objectives. Lead in the preparation of bid proposals, ensuring all aspects of the project scope are accurately represented and competitively priced. Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle by tracking expenses against estimates and identifying potential overruns early. Support contract negotiations by reviewing terms related to construction management, scope of work, and project timelines. Contribute to project management efforts by providing estimation insights that influence scheduling, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating with a strong understanding of construction processes, site activities, and cost control methods. Familiarity with industry software such as Bluebeam for document review is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable pricing and contract terms. Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into field operations, safety standards, and project execution. Knowledge of contracts, project management principles, and construction management practices to ensure accurate estimations aligned with project goals.
