5+ years of civil estimating experience required. HCSS Heavybid, BlueBeam and Agtek highly preferred.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for various civil construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in civil engineering and experience with estimating software and tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work and required materials.

Prepare detailed cost estimates for various civil construction projects including residential, commercial, and industrial.

Utilize estimating software such as HCSS, HeavyBid, and AGTEK to generate accurate estimates.

Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project requirements and constraints.

Review and analyze bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.

Maintain a database of historical costs and update estimating methods based on project performance.

Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.

Monitor project costs and provide feedback on budget variances during construction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Proven experience as an estimator in civil construction projects.

Strong knowledge of civil construction methods and materials, including paving, concrete, excavation, and utilities.

Proficiency in estimating software such as HCSS, HeavyBid, and AGTEK.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
