full-time Demolition Estimator - Tactical Demolition Tactical Demolition is actively seeking an experienced Demolition Estimator to join our growing team. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with extensive hands-on knowledge of demolition means and methods, project logistics, environmental considerations, and construction estimating. This is not an entry-level estimating position. Candidates must have prior demolition estimating experience and a strong understanding of the demolition industry. Experience strictly in general construction without demolition background will not be considered sufficient. Position Overview The Demolition Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive bids for commercial, industrial, municipal, and heavy civil demolition projects. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand complex project scopes, schedules, safety requirements, and operational challenges unique to demolition work. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage multiple bids simultaneously, and has the experience necessary to confidently evaluate demolition costs, risks, and production methods. Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and bid documents to fully understand project scope and requirements Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for demolition, dismantling, selective demolition, structural removal, environmental remediation, and site clearing projects Conduct site visits to evaluate structural conditions, hazards, access limitations, utilities, and demolition sequencing Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing for labor, trucking, equipment, disposal, subcontractors, and materials Develop detailed project budgets, schedules, and production estimates Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Identify project risks, safety concerns, and cost-saving opportunities Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction and bidding phases Prepare proposals, bid clarifications, and supporting documentation Participate in bid review meetings and project turnover meetings after award Maintain knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental requirements, demolition best practices, and industry trends Assist with change orders and cost analysis throughout project execution when needed Qualifications Minimum 5 years of demolition estimating experience

REQUIRED

Experience estimating commercial, industrial, structural, and heavy civil demolition projects Extensive knowledge of demolition methods, equipment, sequencing, and safety practices Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, structural plans, and specifications Strong understanding of labor production rates, trucking logistics, and disposal costs Experience with estimating software, Bluebeam, Excel, and construction management tools Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Experience with environmental remediation and asbestos abatement estimating Public works or government project bidding experience Existing subcontractor and vendor relationships within the demolition industry Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred but not required with sufficient industry experience Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays
