As a Construction Estimator, you will play a vital role in our Construction Division by preparing accurate and competitive cost proposals for new projects and change orders. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with general contractors, owner representatives, and developers, contributing directly to the success and growth of our team. Responsibilities Review and process Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and clarify bid scopes as needed Download, organize, and analyze project files and documentation Perform detailed project take-offs to determine material and labor requirements Request and secure supplier and vendor pricing for project components Prepare comprehensive cost proposals for new projects and change orders, including intelligent pricing breakouts Manage all paperwork and documentation associated with proposals and bids Collaborate with general contractors, owner representatives, and developers regarding current and future bid opportunities Maintain organized records of bids, proposals, and supporting documents Qualifications Experience in construction estimating, preferably in landscape construction or a related field Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications Ability to perform accurate material and quantity take-offs Effective communication skills for coordinating with vendors and project stakeholders Interest in pursuing professional certifications such as TX Irrigators License or ISA Certified Arborist (company-sponsored) Proficiency with standard office software and estimating tools Compensation This is a full-time, exempt position paid weekly. In addition to base pay, there is an opportunity to earn additional income through performance-based bonuses tied to key performance indicators such as bids submitted and department success. Raises are available for achieving relevant certifications, with all class and test fees covered by the company.
