ROBERTS IRON WORKS
INC, the successful candidate will play a vital role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of structural steel and ironwork projects. Responsibilities include reviewing project drawings, specifications, and proposals to determine scope, material requirements, labor costs, and timelines. The candidate will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and suppliers to gather necessary information, evaluate risks, and ensure all estimates comply with industry standards and company policies. Key duties involve analyzing blueprints, conducting site visits as needed, and utilizing estimating software to calculate project costs. The candidate will develop detailed cost breakdowns and present findings to management for approval. Responsibilities also include monitoring project budgets, updating estimates based on change orders, and supporting bidding processes to secure new contracts. Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office and estimating tools are essential. Experience in structural steel fabrication, construction, or related fields is preferred. The position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, cost-effective project results.
