The Estimator will perform takeoffs, develop detailed submittals, collaborate with project teams and subcontractors, and leverage BIM and estimating software to support preconstruction and bidding activities. Key Responsibilities Prepare complete, accurate quantity takeoffs and detailed cost estimates for MEP on data center and semiconductor projects. Use BIM models, AutoCAD drawings, and digital plans to extract quantities and validate scope. Produce and manage submittals, scope documents, and estimate backup to support bids and client reviews. Leverage Bluebeam, Procore, and other estimating tools to track takeoffs, revisions, and version control. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors to obtain pricing, clarify scope, and incorporate allowances. Perform value engineering and constructability reviews to optimize cost and schedule while maintaining technical requirements. Maintain and update historical cost databases, unit cost libraries, and bid day worksheets. Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and technical reviews; support negotiations during bid award and post-award transitions. Ensure estimates comply with contract documents, specifications, and client requirements, and prepare detailed bid summary reports. Support continuous improvement of estimating processes, templates, and workflows. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of commercial estimating experience with proven success on MEP, mechanical, industrial, data center, or semiconductor projects. Hands-on experience with takeoffs, submittals, and preparing detailed estimates. Proficiency with BIM-based estimating and model review workflows (experience with Revit or similar preferred). Strong working knowledge of Bluebeam, Procore, and AutoCAD; familiarity with other estimating software is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and mathematical skills, and ability to produce clear, well-documented estimates. Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients. Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines and adapt to changing scopes. Familiarity with data center and semiconductor construction standards, mechanical systems, and MEP coordination preferred. Certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE/CCP) or similar are a plus.
