About the Role We are looking for an experienced and detail-driven Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing blueprints, preparing competitive cost estimates, and ensuring accurate proposals for a variety of electrical projects. You'll work closely with project managers, operations, and accounting to ensure a smooth transition from bid to build, while building strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to determine material, equipment, labor, and subcontractor costs. Prepare, assemble, and submit complete bid proposals, including takeoffs, supplier/subcontractor quotes, and cost breakdowns. Lead pre-bid activities, including attending meetings, site visits, and bid reviews. Identify areas of concern and provide creative, cost-effective solutions for challenging projects. Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Collaborate with project management and operations teams to ensure seamless project hand-offs. Support procurement by preparing purchase orders and subcontract agreements. Track and analyze bid outcomes to continuously improve estimating strategies. Stay current with electrical codes, distribution systems, and industry best practices. What We're Looking For Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial or industrial construction. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, distribution systems, and industry standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and contract documents. Demonstrated success in securing profitable projects in a competitive bid environment. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines. Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam.
