Company Overview:
Tiello is partnered with a leading Commercial Waterproofing Contractor based in [City, State], in their search for a Waterproofing Estimator to support projects across North Dallas. With a reputation for delivering high-quality building envelope solutions, they specialize in waterproofing, restoration, and specialty coatings for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects.
Role Summary:
The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in estimating within the waterproofing or building envelope industry . This role is focused on technical plan/spec reviews, accurate takeoffs, and preparing competitive proposals that align with company and client goals. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and clients to ensure estimates are precise, profitable, and strategically positioned to win work.

Job Responsibilities:
Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and material/labor estimates from architectural drawings and project specifications. Analyze scopes, identify clarifications or exclusions, and propose value-engineered alternatives when appropriate. Prepare detailed bid proposals, including scope sheets, inclusions/exclusions, and assumptions. Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and manufacturers to obtain pricing and lead times. Attend pre-bid meetings, site walks, and project kickoffs as required. Track opportunities, update bid logs, and manage pipeline forecasts. Conduct post-bid follow-ups with clients and GCs to gather feedback and strengthen relationships. Support project handoffs, ensuring operations teams fully understand awarded scopes. Maintain historical pricing databases, proposal templates, and estimating systems for continuous improvement. Stay current on new products, assemblies, and installation methods within the waterproofing industry.
Qualifications/Requirements:
3-7+ years of experience in commercial waterproofing, roofing, or building envelope estimating . Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and building envelope systems. Proficiency with estimating software (On-Screen Takeoff, Bluebeam, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent written/verbal communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple bids with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving mindset. Willingness to attend job walks and occasional travel, as required. Eligibility to work in the U.S.
