Job Description

Aerospace Estimator Location:
Mabank Tx Monday - Friday 7am - 4 pm
Payrate:
$35 hr Analyzes blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include but are not limited to the following as other responsibilities may be assigned: Receive customer RFQ & assign a quote number, or designee. Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists. Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness. Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data. Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Review of customers RFQ for feasibility of manufacture. Responds to customer requests in a timely manner. Attends scheduled meetings on time and fully prepared. Documents all findings and conversations pertaining to specific jobs or customer on designated job / customer file. Works collectively with various departments (sales, shipping, production, accounting, program managers, etc.) to assure that we produce the most accurate cost analysis & quotation possible. Analyzes production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and human resource requirements when necessary. Plans sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for quote flow & cost estimate. Lists required materials, tools, and equipment. Establishes positive communications between customer and TMC, & between department and supporting departments. Performs contract review on planning and estimating versus customer PO when required on new program or aircraft jobs or part numbers. Translates all MILL Standards on drawings into specific instructions and verifies our ability to adhere and or comply with the standard.
