Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for HVAC projects by analyzing blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications. Your expertise will help ensure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards, supporting our mission to deliver real solutions that meet client needs and project goals. Duties Review construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to interpret project requirements accurately. Prepare detailed cost estimates for HVAC systems, including material quantities, labor costs, and equipment pricing. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to develop comprehensive bids and proposals. Manage project budgets by tracking costs and implementing effective cost control strategies throughout the estimating process. Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams through negotiation and clear communication to refine project scopes and pricing. Analyze material requirements from blueprints and construction drawings to ensure precise quantity takeoffs. Review contracts and manage documentation related to project estimates, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Requirements Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator within the HVAC or broader construction industry. Strong proficiency with estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and construction management tools. Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately. Solid understanding of construction estimating processes for commercial projects, including cost management and material cost estimating. Familiarity with Xactimate or similar estimating platforms is a plus. Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers and clients while maintaining project profitability. Strong knowledge of construction site practices, contracts, and construction management principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting. Construction industry experience with a focus on HVAC systems is highly desirable.
