Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project are considered. This role requires strong project management skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors and subcontractors. The Estimator will collaborate closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to negotiate prices and ensure quality. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam, EBM, and Planswift for takeoffs and estimating processes. Conduct site visits to gather information on project requirements and assess existing conditions. Collaborate with project management teams to establish project timelines and budgets. Monitor cost control throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to estimates. Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and regulations including the National Electrical Code (NEC). Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders regarding estimates. Experience Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, particularly in electrical projects. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Familiarity with cost control methods and techniques. Proficiency in using estimating software, particularly Bluebeam, EBM, and Planswift. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving favorable pricing outcomes. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in reviewing project specifications. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
