Job Description

Field Engineer Pecos, TX 79772 $37 an hour - Full-time $37 an hour - Full-time Overview We are seeking a skilled Construction Field Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various technical areas and possess strong problem-solving abilities. This job entails the build of a large precast structure in West Texas. Applicants must be able to temporarily relocate to the job location for the duration of the project. Per Diem is available for applicants that meet the qualifications. Qualifications Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook Proficiency in various web-based construction management software, such as Procore, and Bluebeam. Possess knowledge of commercial construction processes Understands construction layout procedures Ability to read and understand project plans, submittals and design documents Ability to communicate effectively. Possesses the ability to solve problems quickly and effectively Ability to work in a Team environment Possesses a "Sense of Urgency" attitude. Attention to detail to be able to meticulously document work and progress Experience in estimating including, quantity take-offs, manpower and pricing Must have own vehicle and valid driver's license Responsibilities Develop full understanding of project scope to assist in project planning and scheduling Assists in gathering quantities of work in place and reporting same for the weekly and monthly Cost Control reports. Assists Foremen and subcontractors with interpretation of plans and specifications. Works closely with the Project Superintendent to avoid duplication of effort, as well as to report individual progress and activities so they can be continually evaluated and corrected, if necessary. Efficiently identify problems as they may occur and provide plan mark-ups to effectively explain and document the issue. Attend pre-installation and subcontractor meetings, as well as weekly staff meetings to report on assigned tasks and to coordinate with other management team members. Assists with quality control, safety programs, and coordination of subcontractors as delegated by the Project Superintendent. Verify materials delivered to the job for quantity, quality, and condition, and check for missing and/or damaged items. Coordinate with project team on status of product and material deliveries vs product and material needed to continue efficient installation Prepare daily / weekly reports related to construction crews, personnel, subcontractor progress, and issue tracking. Preferred Qualifications B.S. in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Knowledge of precast concrete fabrication and installation Familiarity with cranes, pick-plans, and rigging Recent surveying experience, including use of total station, and data analysis Familiarity with modeling software such as
Trimble Connect and Navisworks Job Type:
