We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team and play a key role in our project success. Your Role As a Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for civil construction projects. Your expertise in estimating, project coordination, and cost control will help ensure the success of our bids and proposals.
Key Responsibilities Estimating & Cost Analysis:
Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, based on project requirements.
Project Coordination:
Work closely with internal teams to integrate estimating activities into overall project planning.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and accurate project scopes.
Bid Preparation & Review:
Prepare bid proposals, conduct risk and contingency analyses, and revise estimates based on contract revisions.
Project Plans & Document Analysis:
Read and interpret project plans, technical documents, and specifications to develop comprehensive estimates.
Site Visits & Bid Meetings:
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather necessary project details.
Administrative Tasks:
Maintain estimate documentation, generate reports, and support project tracking.
Business Development:
Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to enhance bid opportunities.
Pre-Construction Support:
Communicate estimate details to field operations teams for effective project execution.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High School Diploma or GED required. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, cost control, or a related field. Experience with heavy civil construction is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in construction estimating software, project plans reading, and knowledge of industry standards and best practices.
Soft Skills:
