BUYER / ESTIMATOR / PURCHASER
Industrial Cold Storage & Industrial Construction Location:

Full-Time Compensation:
Commensurate with Experience Member Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced and highly qualified Buyer / Estimator / Purchaser to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial construction, cold storage facilities, refrigeration-related construction, commercial/industrial procurement, and construction estimating. This is a specialized position. A minimum of 3 years of directly relevant experience is required. Only candidates who meet the qualifications and experience requirements will be considered.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The Buyer / Estimator / Purchaser will be responsible for supporting the estimating, procurement, purchasing, and project management processes for industrial construction projects, including cold storage and warehouse facilities.
Key responsibilities include:
Prepare and review detailed construction estimates, material takeoffs, and pricing. Obtain and compare vendor and subcontractor proposals and quotations. Purchase construction materials, equipment, and supplies in accordance with project specifications and budgets. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors. Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Review construction plans, specifications, drawings, and scopes of work to identify material and procurement requirements. Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with procurement planning and project requirements. Track material orders, deliveries, backorders, and lead times. Coordinate procurement schedules with project construction schedules. Verify quantities, specifications, pricing, and product availability. Identify cost-saving opportunities and alternative materials or suppliers when appropriate. Assist with bid preparation, subcontractor comparisons, and project budgeting. Maintain accurate purchasing and estimating records. Coordinate with accounting regarding purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation. Assist in resolving material shortages, delivery issues, substitutions, and procurement-related challenges. Perform other estimating, purchasing, and procurement duties as required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Only qualified candidates meeting the following requirements will be considered: Minimum 3 years of professional experience in construction estimating, purchasing, procurement, or a closely related position. Experience specifically within industrial construction is required. Experience with cold storage, refrigerated warehouses, or similar industrial facilities is highly preferred. Strong understanding of construction materials, equipment, subcontractor scopes, and construction methods. Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and architectural/engineering drawings. Strong understanding of material quantities, pricing, labor, and construction costs. Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects, bids, purchase orders, and deadlines simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to work effectively with Project Managers, Engineers, Architects, Superintendents, vendors, subcontractors, and clients. Ability to work independently and make sound purchasing and estimating decisions within established project parameters.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Preference may be given to candidates with experience in: Industrial cold storage construction Refrigerated warehouse facilities Produce distribution facilities Tilt-wall construction Structural steel and metal building systems Insulated metal panels Refrigeration systems and related equipment Dock equipment and loading systems Electrical and mechanical construction Commercial and industrial site development Construction procurement and subcontractor bidding
COMPENSATION
Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications, experience, technical knowledge, and demonstrated ability. We are looking for an experienced professional who can bring immediate value to our estimating and procurement operations.

Qualified international candidates may be considered. For candidates who require employment authorization, the Company may be able to provide appropriate employment-based immigration support, subject to applicable U.S. immigration laws and eligibility requirements. For Mexican citizens, appropriate documentation may be required, including a valid Mexican Cédula Profesional when applicable to the position and the candidate's professional qualifications, as well as any other documentation required for the applicable employment authorization process. Employment authorization and visa sponsorship are not guaranteed and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable law.

Pay:
$52,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
