In this role, you will take ownership of estimates from initial document review through final bid submission. You will work closely with project managers, field leaders, vendors, and company leadership to develop competitive estimates, identify project risks, and position the team for success. This is an excellent opportunity for an estimator who understands commercial plumbing and mechanical construction and wants to join a company offering challenging projects, a strong backlog, and room for continued advancement. What You'll Do Prepare detailed estimates for large commercial plumbing and wet-side mechanical projects Review blueprints, specifications, schedules, and bid documents Perform accurate quantity takeoffs and labor calculations Build comprehensive project estimates using QuoteSoft or comparable software Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and vendor pricing Develop project budgets, proposals, and complete bid packages Partner with project managers, field teams, and leadership throughout preconstruction Identify value-engineering opportunities, scope gaps, and potential project risks Support bid reviews and project handoffs Manage multiple bids, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment What We're Looking For At least 3 years of mechanical or plumbing construction estimating experience Direct experience estimating large commercial plumbing and wet-side mechanical systems Proficiency with QuoteSoft or similar construction estimating software Strong understanding of commercial plumbing, piping, HVAC, and mechanical construction methods Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents Experience completing quantity takeoffs, labor calculations, budgets, and proposals Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project and field teams Preferred Background Commercial plumbing estimating Wet-side mechanical and piping systems HVAC and mechanical construction Preconstruction planning and budgeting Value engineering and scope analysis Large commercial construction projects Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application.
