Full Job Description Federal Project Estimator:
A growing federal construction team is searching for a Construction Estimator, where your expertise will drive the success of projects from initial conception through to completion. In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, analyzing project plans and specifications, and collaborating closely with clients, suppliers, and project managers. Your energetic approach and keen eye for detail will help ensure our projects stay on budget, meet quality standards, and are delivered efficiently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your construction industry experience and estimation skills in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Responsibilities Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs. Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects. Manage project budgets by monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle, implementing effective cost control measures, and adjusting estimates as needed. Source and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards. Prepare comprehensive bid proposals that include scope of work, pricing, schedules, and risk assessments. Collaborate with project managers, clients, and design teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and contractual requirements. Utilize construction management software for blueprint review, markup management, and estimating material quantities from technical drawings.Desired Experience:
