Job Description

NorthStar CG LP is a national demolition and asbestos abatement company that has been serving the Pacific Northwest for 40 years. As a leading provider of facility demolition services, NorthStar has the expertise, specialized equipment, and experienced supervisors and staff to manage even the most complex demolition projects. We are currently seeking to hire a full-time Estimator responsible for estimating demolition projects in both the public and private sectors. The demolition industry plays a crucial role in helping communities reimagine, rebuild, and reinvigorate their spaces. Although demolition and remediation are essential to our cities and neighborhoods, many people are unaware of how the process works. That's okay because we love sharing what we do and are eager to teach others.
Responsibilities:
  • Attention to detail
  • Develop an Estimate based on current labor, equipment, trucking, and disposal cost
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and submit detailed-oriented proposals to clients.
  • Participate in the bidding process.
  • Work closely with project managers, and the operations team as needed
  • Have access to reliable transportation.
Qualifications:
Preference of 3+ years as an estimator
  • Strong understanding of construction, cost control, material pricing, proposal requests, bidding process, and estimating techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction estimating software.
Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Required to have a reliable mode of transportation.
Experience:
  • Construction estimating: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Asbestos Abatement (Preferred)
