Job Description

If you have a passion for bidding, estimating, and managing life-safety system projects, you may be interested in this opportunity through Linx Integrated for an Estimator / Project Manager. This role works closely with our commercial and low voltage teams, drafters, and key customers to ensure the best possible fire alarm, access control, and Area of Refuge 2-way communication system project bids for new construction and TI projects. Estimator Project Manager - Low Voltage Electrical -
Fire Alarm, Access Control, and Area of Refuge Duties:
  • Prepare estimates / proposals for low voltage projects, including all documentation and coordination with contractor partners.
  • Develop team project plans, specifications, and relevant information to determine scope of work and materials and labor required to complete projects.
  • Oversee projects from start to finish, labor management, equipment rentals, subcontract coordination, on time on budget, and meeting safety code, and profitable project administration.
  • Manage customer and vendor relationships in support of projects.
  • Support billing preparation and team scheduling in collaboration with department manager.
  • Site visits ensuring safety, quality, labor, materials, and efficiency.
  • Laying out field technicians on projects (When not done by foreman.)
  • Responsible for submittal, as-built drawing, and O&M documentation.
  • Change orders.
  • Perform all necessary calculations to obtain permits.
  • Responsible for job compliance and permitting.
Contract Management:
review agreements and oversee project-related documentation.
Desired Experience & Skills:
  • At least 2 years of Fire Alarm / Low Voltage bidding and estimating experience.
  • At least 2 years of Fire Alarm / Low Voltage project management experience.
  • EL06 or EL01 with NICET 2 or higher. NICET 3 preferred.
  • Outside sales experience a plus.
  • Experience with ProCore project management tools and proficiency in Bluebeam and MS Office. AutoCAD is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and spec sheets.
  • Strong communication skills - with drafter, customers, and the field team.
  • Detail-orientated mindset and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage projects.
  • Ability to travel to jobsites to review progress, quality, and work with the team.
  • High level of initiative and ability to take ownership of bids to project completion.
  • Reliable attendance.
Able to meet insurability standards to drive a company vehicle.
Pay:
$40.00 - $60.00 per hour
