•Responsibilities 1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects including labor, materials, equipment, and other related costs. 2. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. 3. Manage and coordinate the bidding process, ensuring all bids are accurate, competitive, and submitted on time. 4. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop project plans and schedules. 5. Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and provide solutions to mitigate these risks. 6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, construction materials, pricing, and the latest technology. 7. Collaborate with stakeholders in the healthcare, education, commercial, and government sectors to understand their unique construction needs and provide accurate estimates. 8. Participate in project meetings and provide updates on cost estimates and budget status. 9. Assist in contract negotiations and change order management. Qualifications 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role. 2. Proven experience in managing bids and reading blueprints. 3. Familiarity with construction projects in healthcare, hospitals, higher education institutions, schools, commercial buildings, federal, state, or government construction, and disaster construction. 4. Strong knowledge of construction materials, equipment, techniques, and costs. 5. Excellent analytical and numerical skills. 6. Proficient in using estimating software and other related computer applications. 7. Strong communication and negotiation skills. 8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 9. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred. 10. Certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar will be an added advantage.
