This role combines estimating expertise with project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, site management, and technical review of blueprints and drawings, with a passion for managing complex projects in the demolition and abatement industry. Responsibilities Prepare accurate and comprehensive project estimates for demolition and asbestos abatement work using estimating software Review construction drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, and contract documents to determine scope of work and material requirements. Develop detailed project budgets, including labor, materials, equipment, permits, and subcontractor costs. Manage project timelines, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure timely completion of demolition and abatement activities. Negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to secure favorable terms while maintaining quality standards. Oversee project execution on-site by coordinating with field teams, ensuring safety compliance, and managing change orders or scope adjustments. Monitor project costs continuously through spreadsheets and construction management software to control expenses and maximize profitability. Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members to provide updates on project progress and resolve issues promptly. Review construction sites regularly for safety compliance, quality assurance, and adherence to technical specifications. Utilize Bluebeam for digital plan review and markup; interpret technical drawings accurately; estimate material quantities from blueprints; manage project documentation efficiently. Skills Proven experience managing demolition or asbestos abatement projects within the construction industry. Strong proficiency in estimating software Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret complex technical drawings. Skilled in cost management practices including material cost estimating, cost control strategies, and budgeting for commercial construction projects. Effective negotiation abilities with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams. Familiarity with construction management software tools for scheduling and project tracking. Solid understanding of contracts, scope of work development, change order processes, and construction site safety protocols. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel spreadsheets for cost analysis; Word documents for reports). Strong communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration; experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Construction site experience combined with a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry's best practices.
