K Con is looking for a purchaser who has knowledge in materials that are required for residential and commercial projects. We have projects located within the greater Seattle area, North King, Snohomish County. Come join our K Con team! This job is for those that are efficient in partnering with our Superintendent, Foreman and crews to ensure proper parts are ordered to each project based on approved bids. This includes reviewing bid sheets, creating material orders and communicating with vendors and our crews for onsite deliveries.

Responsibilities and Duties:

3+ years of experience in underground utilities, earthworks, commercial and residential land development. Identify, evaluate, and purchase construction materials, tools, and equipment in line with project specifications and budget. Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines. Accuracy and attention to detail are a must for this role. Issue purchase orders for all orders for tracking purposes. Create material orders based on project starts, set up deliveries with vendors. Set up on the spot will call orders with suppliers throughout the day as crew needs change. Organize and schedule aggregate deliveries as needed. Ensure materials meet quality standards and project requirements, resolving any supplier-related issues. Proven experience in construction purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management. Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiate pricing, and establish long-term contracts.
