Manufacturing Estimator

Wald Wire is looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to join our Engineering & Estimating team. This role is ideal for someone with a background in manufacturing who enjoys problem-solving, working with customers, and turning technical drawings into real-world production plans. If you're someone who understands how things are made—and wants to play a bigger role in pricing, planning, and customer communication—this could be a great fit. What You'll Do Review customer drawings and specifications to determine materials and production methods Prepare accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, and outside services Generate and send quotes within a 48-hour turnaround time Work closely with customers to answer questions and provide updates Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency and reduce costs Support quality and operations teams with blueprint interpretation when needed What You Bring Experience in manufacturing, estimating, or a related field preferred Strong Excel and computer skills Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings Solid math and problem-solving skills Strong communication and customer service mindset Why Wald Wire Stable, growing manufacturing company Opportunity to move into engineering or leadership roles Work closely with multiple departments and make a direct impact Climate-controlled environment with limited time on the production floor Work Environment Primarily office-based with occasional time in the production area High collaboration with team members across departments Fast-paced with a focus on accuracy and responsiveness
