Senior Project Manager/Estimator (Earthwork) Oshkosh, WI • On-site • Full-time Must-Haves Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of related construction management experience Significant experience leading estimating efforts and managing large, complex construction projects OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR certified, with strong knowledge of safety procedures Advanced understanding of construction estimating, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and project financial management Proficient in construction estimating/project management software Strong math skills including ratios, percentages, quantities, unit costs, and industry-standard construction calculations Working knowledge of HCSS, BlueBeam, ProCore, or similar construction management software preferred Proven leadership experience managing, mentoring, and developing project and estimating teams Valid driver's license About the Company We are a ~$40M annual revenue contractor specializing in earthwork, site excavation, and underground utilities, with projects ranging from $150K to $8M. About the Role The Senior Project Manager/Estimator plays a critical role in driving business growth and project success by leading the estimating process, securing new work, and overseeing complex construction projects from award through completion. This position develops competitive bid strategies, prepares comprehensive estimates, and builds strong client relationships that support long-term business goals. Once projects are awarded, this role provides strategic leadership across planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, compliance, risk management, and client communication. You'll lead some of the organization's largest and most complex projects, direct resources, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. This role also serves as a mentor to estimators and project managers. What You'll Do Lead the development, review, and submission of competitive estimates and proposals for private and public-sector opportunities Prepare detailed estimates for complex projects, including quantity takeoffs, subcontractor and supplier pricing, cost analysis, and bid strategy Provide leadership across multiple projects, guiding teams through planning, execution, and delivery Coordinate pre-construction meetings to align project teams and objectives Secure and maintain required permits, licenses, and project documentation Monitor project costs, productivity, labor, and material spend to protect profitability Oversee billing in partnership with the project accountant, ensuring accurate invoicing and timely collections Manage project changes and change orders, keeping scope, schedule, and profitability aligned Lead project meetings to communicate progress and resolve challenges Mentor and support estimators and project managers, promoting growth and accountability Provide regular updates to leadership on performance, risks, and opportunities What's Offered Salary range $120,000 to $180,000 based on experience, with strong bonus potential Vehicle/mileage reimbursement and company credit card Let me know if you'd like a shorter version for Indeed's character limits.
