Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator specializing in manufacturing to join our innovative team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for accurately assessing project requirements, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production planning and execution. Your expertise will drive efficient resource allocation, optimize supply chain processes, and support our commitment to delivering high-quality manufacturing solutions. Estimator We are looking for an Estimator to support our manufacturing and sales teams by developing accurate, competitive quotes for new and existing work. The Estimator will work with established estimating tools, processes, and outside vendors to determine material, tooling, processing, labor, and outside-service costs. This position will work closely with Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Purchasing, and other internal personnel to ensure quotes accurately reflect manufacturing requirements and capabilities. Key Responsibilities Prepare estimates and quotations for new and existing manufacturing opportunities Utilize established estimating tools, historical data, and processes Obtain and evaluate pricing from material suppliers and outside-processing vendors Review prints, specifications, tolerances, materials, and quality requirements Work with Manufacturing and Quality to determine appropriate processes and requirements Partner with Sales to provide timely, competitive quotations Maintain estimating records and support quote revisions as requirements change Ideal Candidate Manufacturing, estimating, machining, stamping, fabrication, or related experience preferred Comfortable reading manufacturing prints and specifications Strong attention to detail and basic cost/math skills Able to communicate effectively with vendors and multiple internal departments Organized and comfortable managing multiple quotes and priorities
